We want to take just a brief moment to welcome you to Living Stones Website. We hope you find what you are looking for here if you are looking to join us or just see what we are about. If you have any questions or comments at all, please feel free to contact us and we’ll be sure to be in touch. Thanks for taking some of your time to visit our site and we hope to see you in person real soon!
I hope everyone is having a great summer! It’s always busy and crazy and hopefully fun at the same time. We hope your family is enjoying some time together and making memories that will last a lifetime. Please let us know if we can do anything for you or your family and know we think and pray for you often. We’d love to see you on a Sunday at Angela and I’s house at 10:00am for worship and doing life together as His body. We will do some more updates later on, have a good one:)
Ok, It’s May and not only is the weather crazy around here, but so is our schedule for this month. So here’s what you need to know and we need to be thinking about. We for sure will NOT be gathering this Sunday, May 5th. We are encouraging everyone to go and be apart of Kirby and Tyson Taussig’s baptism at 10:00am at the Lifechurch campus on NW Expressway. You are also invited to lunch with the Taussig family at 3816 NW 22nd St., OKC 73107 following the service to help celebrate this awesome occasion. Our family will be out of town doing a little vacation, yippie:) We will be gathering for Mother’s Day on Sunday the 12th at our regular 10:00am time at Angela and I’s house. Sunday the 19th is the final day of our ladies retreat so most all of our women will be there. So, if you have any ideas for the few of us that will be around (I’m thinking of spending some time communing with God on tee boxes and greens LOL), let me know. The last Sunday in May is Memorial Day weekend so more than likely we will not have regular gatherings then as well. My family will be at the lake, but I’m open to other ideas for those that would like to do something. Anyway, call, text, email, facebook, come by, whatever works if you have any ideas on how to go about these crazy weekends. Hope the rest of your week is great!!
P.S. Don’t forget to tell Kerri a HUGE congrats as she will be graduating this weekend!!
Hello Living Stones, I hope everyone (and your trees LOL) survived the lovely spring Ice storm we had this week. Good news, it’s Oklahoma, and will be 78 on Sunday! Here’s a few things I wanted to mention to keep you in the loop on things happening with our group. First off, great news from my cousin Katie who shared in her newsletter that J, the pastor in prison we had been praying for was miraculously released!! Not real sure what all the details are, but of course that is awesome for him and his family and the believers in that area. Be praying for the family as they try to figure out what is next. More good news is that Andy and Sylvia get back home on Friday from their time in Africa. Can’t wait to hear all about the continued works over there! Some more good news… is that things with Tera and Raymond are going well as they move forward and do the things they need to do to be good parents for Nathan and walk new paths in singleness. Continue to pray for them both in this new phase of life.
A few things to note… We will be meeting at Angela and I’s house for our gathering times on Sunday mornings at 10:00am from this point forward, or also when we just mix it up and do something different which we like to randomly do LOL. The Ladies are continuing Esther on Monday nights and that is going great. If you have any questions, be sure to check with Angela.
Lastly, an exciting Saturday morning is right around the corner. Faithworks of the Inner City, which we have done loads of stuff with throughout the years, is doing a fundraiser/service project next Saturday, April 20th. We will be meeting at the Center at 9:00am and then doing a prayer walk over to Wiley Post park where we will take some time to clean up the park and make it beautiful. Then we will walk back to the center for lunch and to hang out. We would love for anyone to come and be apart of the walk and project and to enjoy some quality time with these amazing kids.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your week!
Just a reminder group that we will be having Secret Church this Friday night from 6:00pm to Midnight at Scott and Angela’s house. The title is, “Heaven, Hell, and the End of the World”. Sounds like lots of fun to me. I hope you can come for as long as you can as it should be an awesome study to go through. We will have snacks and drinks to munch on throughout the evening so put on your PJ’s and come go crazy in God’s word. We will obviously also be celebrating Easter on Sunday at the HUB at 10:00am. This is a fantastic time to invite a friend or family member to come and experience what it means to do life together. I hope to see you for one of hopefully both of these experiences this weekend and I hope your Easter is one to remember:)
We are going to meet at Scott and Angela’s house tomorrow for our normal gathering time at 10:00am. Lot’s of folks are gone for Spring Break and we thought it would be fun to just mix it up. Hope you can join us if you are around!
Also don’t forget Secret Church is happening on the 29th and we’ll have an awesome time Easter Sunday on the 31st. Have a great weekend!
Hope everyone is having a great March and enjoying a good week! We will be kicking off our new teaching series, “Random” this Sunday the 10th. Should be a lot of fun and full of “randomness”!! Be praying or the Taussig’s as they continue to work in Africa and don’t forget to send them a facebook message or email to encourage them as they serve. They love getting messages from the states!
Angela and I will once again be hosting “Secret Church” with David Platt on Good Friday, March 29th from 6pm to Midnight. The theme for this year is “Heaven, Hell, and the End of the World”. As the title suggests, this should be a rather interesting study. We’d love for you to come and enjoy this night with us as we are challenged by God’s word by one of our favorite teachers. Be sure to mark this on your calendars and come ready to feast on the meat of the Word.
Have a great rest of your week and we hope to see you Sunday!
Just wanted to let you know that the plans for Sunday have changed. We will NOT be gathering on Sunday at the HUB. Angela and are gone and will be coming back from her work convention in Utah on Sunday. Enjoy the time with friends and family or maybe even spend some time in solitude and silence and enjoy some quite time with the Father. We will gather again on March 10th!
Have a great week:)
We are going to have a time of prayer, solitude, and reflection on Sunday for our gathering time. There will be no specific teaching as I feel we need to spend some time being still before the Father, listening to His still small voice and sharing our hearts with Him and one another. You can stay as long or as short as you feel works for you, so come ready to enjoy His presence we hope to see you then:)
Hey, since we really don’t seem to have winter anymore, let’s have an early spring like storm! It’s great to have the rain as we all know how badly we need it. I hope everyone is having a good week. We had a great time talking about “healthy minds” on Sunday so if you missed that and want to check it out, it’s in the blog below. We will continue our Healthy series this Sunday with “Healthy Bodies”. Oh yeah, it’s time to get our sweat on not just talk about healthy bodies, but have a little fun moving our bodies as well. Be sure to wear your comfy moving around clothes this Sunday!! Continue reading
